Once you have set up your LogMeOnce account, it is strongly advised that you configure all account recovery features so that you can get back into your account if you ever forget your master password. Throughout the duration of your LogMeOnce subscription, you can configure these recovery options any time you want.
LogMeOnce notifies you when the Account Recovery is not configured. Please follow the steps below to set up Account Recovery:
Step 1: On the Dashboard page, tap on the Profile in the upper right corner.
Step 2: When you click on the Avatar, several options appear; Select the first one, "Account."
Step 3: You will be directed to a page where you can change your Username, Password, and Security Question, if required. Click on "Setup" next to Account Recovery.
Three options appear in the Account Recovery Setup: Recovery email address, Recovery phone number, and Emergency recovery key. It is strongly recommended to set all three options.
Step 4: Click "Add" to recover your account using an email address, phone number, or generate an emergency recovery key.
Step 5: After entering your email address and phone number, click "Save" to access account recovery options.
Here's how three of the options can assist you in recovering your LogMeOnce account:
- Recovery email address - This can be used in case you do not have access to your primary email to receive your One Time Code and other activity to recovery your account.
- Recovery phone number - This can be used in case you do not have access to your primary and secondary email to receive your One Time Code and other activity to recovery your account.
- Emergency recovery key - This can be used in case you have forgotten your security answer.
Your "Emergency Recovery Key" provides a safety net if you ever forget your master password or security answer. This key will be the last and only option to access your LogMeOnce account. After generating Recovery Key, Print, save, and write down this recovery key and keep it in a SAFE PLACE like a bank-safe deposit box or a home vault.
Step 6: Finally, click "Close," and your account recovery setup is complete.
