Have you forgotten your account's LogMeOnce password or are you having trouble logging in? That is nothing to be concerned about.
LogMeOnce offers not one, but three different ways to recover your account. Once you've enabled account recovery, you can recover your account using any method you want.
As for best practices, it is best to setup ALL the recovery options below to protect your account:
- Setup recovery email address
- Setup recovery phone number
- Emergency recovery key
- Making sure you know you security answer that you created during account setup. You can always verify to change it when you have access to the account
- Adding LogMeOnce mobile app will also give you ability to login via Passwordless options which helps with account recovery
- Setup emergency access with your another email, spouse or close friend. Emergency access can be access from https://secure.logmeonce.com/settings#emergency
- Making sure to setup more than one 2FA option incase of losing access to your email, phone, etc.

This article will show you how to use the various recovery options after you've set them up.
Recover your Account Using Email Address:
1. Select the Account Recovery option, which is located just below the Login button.
2. Enter your LogMeOnce email address or username, then click on Continue.
3. Choose Email as your method of account recovery, then click Continue.
4. A recovery email will be sent to your registered email address. Select the option to Recover Account.
5. Choose how you want to recover your account and then click on Continue.
6. Depending on your preference, answer your security question or enter your emergency recovery key.
7. Select the option to reset your password. Click on Continue.
8. Type in your new password and then click Save. Make sure the password you enter is correct.
9. Your account password has now been changed. Please try logging in with your new password.
Recover your Account Using Recovery Phone Number:
1. Select the Account Recovery option, which is located just below the Login button.
2. Enter your LogMeOnce email address or username, then click on Continue.
3. Choose SMS as your method of account recovery, then click Continue.
4. An SMS with a code will be sent to your phone. Please Verify your phone by checking it and entering the verification code.
5. Select how you want to recover your account and then click Continue.
6. Depending on your preference, answer your security question or enter your emergency recovery key.
7. Select the option to reset your password. Click on Continue.
8. Type in your new password and then click Save. Make sure the password you enter is correct.
9. Your account password has now been changed. Please try logging in with your new password.
Recover your Account Using Emergency Recovery Key:
1. Select the Account Recovery option, which is located just below the Login button.
2. Enter your LogMeOnce email address or username, then click on Continue.
3. Select Continue. This will send an account recovery link to your email address.
4. A recovery email will be sent to your registered email address. Select the option to Recover Account.
5. Please select the Recovery key option and then click Continue.
6. Enter your recovery key and then click Continue.
7. Select the option to reset your password. Click on Continue.
8. Type in your new password and then click Save. Make sure the password you enter is correct.
9. Your account password has now been changed. Please try logging in with your new password.
