Getting started with LogMeOnce for Windows, Mac and Linux

Welcome to LogMeOnce! This guide provides the step-by-step process to create an account with LogMeOnce. You can sign up for a trial or paid LogMeOnce account anytime, and then activate it by creating your own unique password, which will encrypt your LogMeOnce Vault data.

Please go to the website https://www.logmeonce.com/ and click the orange bar at the top right corner which says “Sign Up - It’s free”.

Step 1: Once you click on the Signup- It’s free, ,select the second option “Personal/Family highlighted with an arrow on the same page.

Step 2: You are being redirected to the next page for creating an account, fill in your information here such as the First Name and create a master password.

Hint: Make sure that you remember your password. The password should contain a minimum of 8 characters, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one numeric letter.

Step 3: Now, you need to enter the security question, in case you lose/forget the master password. This will allow you to recover your account with the help of a security question. 

Note: If you forgot your security answer, you will not be able to recover your account. We provide other account recovery option to recover your account. Please make sure to complete your account recovery steps.

Step 4: You will be then directed to the Pricing plan, where you can select the plan as per your need. LogMeOnce offers 4 editions: Premium edition, Professional edition, Ultimate edition, and Family edition. You can choose an edition according to your preference.

Step 5: After selecting the plan, you will be directed to the dashboard of LogMeOnce on the home page, you can read them and then click on the “Next” blue button at the bottom.

Step: 6:

It displays a checklist of tasks to perform to complete the setup. The very next step is to install the chrome extension shown in the checklist box at the bottom. You can easily add the extension using google chrome webstore or other webstores depending on your browser. In this example, we show the steps for Chrome browser.

It automatically redirects you to LogMeOnce browser extension or In the chrome web store search for the LogMeOnce extension and then click on the blue button on the top  ”Add to Chrome” option.

Now finally select “Add extension” and the extension will start downloading. You can also pin the extension in the chrome for an easy access to chrome extension for LogMeOnce.

LogMeOnce will autofill your username and passwords as needed to automatically logs you into your desired website. LogMeOnce extension can also autofill your forms.

To pin the LogMeOnce extension to the browser follow steps below.

Step 7:

Once you are done with the extension, the Getting Started process will be completed to 40%, as shown. Click on “Add your first App” at the checklist to complete the next step.

Step 8:

The next step is to add an application by clicking the option “Add app”. You can also add multiple applications using the import password feature. In this example, we will follow adding a single application.

In the Application name column, search for ’Gmail‘, after your search it appears in the list below to select the option of Gmail in the search bar.

Fill in all the required columns with the relevant information regarding your Gmail Account, and then click ”Add App”mceclip10.png

Click to login into Gmail app with your active Gmail account through the orange colored box to login to the Gmail application.

So, if you were able to successfully enter into Gmail using your Gmail account in this example, click "Yes."

Step 9:
After signing into Gmail, the Getting Started process will be completed to the 80% mark, as shown. The next task on the checklist is adding your mobile device to LogmeOnce, click on Add smartphone.

Click the option on the top of the right corner “Add device” which is the last step to get completed with using the LogMeOnce account.

There are two types of devices you can add to your LogMeOnce account, one is the smartphone and another option is Security Key or YubiKey. For adding a smartphone, Click on ‘Smartphone’ to add a device.

 We send an email to your email address with the download link to the application. Please check the email and download the application. If you don’t receive emails  on your mobile, you can get help with the first option ”Click here”.

 For adding a device through QR code Click on “ Show QR code”.

Upon successful install of LogMeOnce mobile app, QR code for registration is displayed.

Scan QR code with your LogMeOnce mobile app, to successfully add a device to your LogmeOnce account.

With all of the steps followed above you are all set now and ready to use LogMeOnce which is the most highly secured password manager to secure your digital life!
